Tips and where they appear
Enter completed years of service, not months. The rate changes only when you cross a column threshold.
On Basic pay calculator: Basic pay calculator
Incentive pay is separate from base pay and has its own eligibility rules. Confirm the monthly rate and your qualification status with your unit’s pay office before you budget for it.
On Aviation career incentive pay: Aviation career incentive pay
Special duty pay is a monthly amount set by your service and assignment. The statutory ceiling on this page is a maximum, not an expected amount.
On Special duty assignment pay: Special duty assignment pay
OHA applies only to overseas assignments. For stateside duty, use basic pay and BAH, and do not add OHA to a domestic estimate.
On Air Force 2026 pay chart: Air Force 2026 pay chart
OHA applies only to overseas assignments. For stateside duty, use basic pay and BAH, and do not add OHA to a domestic estimate.
On Space Force 2026 pay chart: Space Force 2026 pay chart
BAS covers meals, and OHA covers housing on overseas assignments. Both are separate from BAH, so an overseas estimate needs overseas rates, not the BAH table.
On What is BAH?: What is BAH?
This estimate covers the first year of retirement. Cost-of-living adjustments after retirement are not included, so the amount you receive later will differ.
On Retirement calculator: Retirement calculator
The calculator covers housing areas in the 2025 DTMO file. Overseas assignments use overseas housing allowance (OHA), which is not on this site, so do not use these rates for an overseas estimate.
On BAH calculator: BAH calculator
Basic pay here is the national schedule. Do not add overseas housing (OHA) unless you are assigned overseas.
